Since its conception in the late '90s, this popular Vasastan restaurant has become a modern classic attracting everybody from media folk to tourists. Scandinavian bistro vibes reign in the kitchen, but the restaurant also boasts a boisterous bar scene.
Storstad opened in 1999 and quickly became a well-established Vasastan institution appealing to a wide and varied audience. The restaurant has in recent years undergone a makeover and is now twice the size as the original. The restaurant's decor includes white tiled walls, brass details, white tablecloths and bistro chairs. Storstad fuses high culinary ambitions with the familiar feel of a neighbourhood restaurant.
The varied menu features seasonal ingredients. The emphasis is on typically Scandinavian dishes such as meatballs, cod and beef tenderloin. Round off your meal with cookies or order a saffron pancake with sea buckthorn jam.
Storstad is also famous for its lively bar scene, guests swing by for a drink after work or post-dinner. During summer months the large outdoor terrace is a welcome addition.
