Restaurang Stadshuskällaren

As soon as you enter Stadshuskällaren, founded in 1922 and one of Stockholm's oldest restaurants, you're met by an almost palpable sense of history and pomp and circumstance. The restaurant is part of the Stadshusrestauranger group, which also includes Ragnars Skafferi and is responsible for the prestigious Nobel banquet served in the City Hall's Blue Hall each year.

The à la carte menu, served Wednesday to Saturday, includes Nordic dishes such as saddle of venison with celeriac, char with cauliflower and trout roe and duck with pointed cabbage. Stadshuskällaren also offers the unique concept of serving entire Nobel menus from any year between 1901 and 2019; this experience must be pre-ordered in advance.
