The emphasis at Le Kebab is on organic, plant-based food, with high-quality ingredients and unexpected flavours. It's run by Philip Örtegren, founder of Phil's Burger, together with Mario and Charbel Hammo of Pharmarium cocktail bar and Stortorgskällaren restaurant in the Old Town.
It's no surprise that Le Kebab serves kebab, but the team here aim to give their guests a whole new experience with a menu that's nothing like what you'll find at more classic kebab restaurants. The menu is 80% plant-based and consists of top-quality, carefully-selected ingredients. Everything is made from scratch and the bread is always freshly-baked daily.
The kebab menu consists of a generous selection with a variation of flavours and forms. You can order your kebab in a pita, on a plate, in a bowl, over rice and in a wrap. If you're vegetarian there's also a completely separate menu with selected favourites from the regular menu, with the meat replaced by vegetarian alternatives and falafel. As well as an emphasis on fresh ingredients, presentation is important. Dishes are modern and Insta-friendly and can be eaten in or bought to take away.
If you choose to eat in the colourful restaurant on Upplandsgatan you'll be surrounded by wooden furniture, plants and neon lamps. There's room for both large and small groups. Wash your food down with a beer, glass of wine, or perhaps one of their homemade milkshakes.
