Helenes Krog & Bar

Helenes Krog has been at the same spot by Sankt Eriksplan since the Nineties. A long-standing neighbourhood restaurant with plenty of regulars and a warm, friendly atmosphere, Helenes serve hearty dishes at reasonable prices.

Just a few steps from the underground station at Sankt Eriksgatan 87, you'll find Helenes Krog & Bar, which opened in 1996 and is now something of an institution in the area. The restaurant has retained its original Nineties feel but updated the style with stylish velvet chairs, simple tables and large chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Friends, families and romantic couples come here to eat dinner in an intimate atmosphere. The restaurant works just as well for large parties as for dinner à deux.

The emphasis is on good-value bistro dishes in substantial portions, made from top quality ingredients. You'll never leave Helenes hungry. The menu includes classic meat dishes, pasta, fish and vegetarian options and there's a separate children's menu for younger diners. The restaurant also has a great bar scene, with cocktails, wine and beer on tap and by the bottle. You can meet up here for a post-work drink and they occasionally show events such as the Eurovision Song Contest on their big screen.

In the summer, their al fresco dining area opens up with views over the lively street. Have something to eat and a refreshing drink here during the warmer months.
