Fred's Kitchen in Hammarby sjöstad follows the same concept as its sister operation, Fred's Food Truck, but in static form. American streetfood is the order of the day, no frills and delicious.

Fred's Food Truck was started in the summer of 2012 by Fredrik and Anders Melin who, after travelling around the US and seeing how popular food trucks were there, were inspired to open a foodtruck in Stockholm. Since then, they've been serving up tasty, well-cooked food on the streets of Stockholm and in 2018 they opened their first restaurant.

Fred's Kitchen occupies a canal-side spot right next to the harbour in Hammarby sjöstad, with views over the water and boat life. Classic "American diner" style combines with modern, rustic elements and you can choose between tables with space for a group or to sit at high barstools and look out over the quay.

The food is based on their original food truck menu, which includes classic streetfood dishes such as hamburgers and tacos. Choose from wine, beer, simple cocktails and non-alcoholic options to go with your food.
