The Middle East spoils us with some of the sweetest spices, flavors and aromas there are. Babel Bazaar does it too and here you will find everything from real shawarma, spicy falafel, meze, dates, pierogies and salads rich with parsley. A small, modern crawl with patterned tile, gold cutlery and super nice staff. Lunches are packed but in the evenings a little calmer, I spent it here yesterday.

We ordered in Falafel &CO (115kr) a large plate rich with falafel and divine deep-fried halloumi, a cheese cigar, lots of good messes. A wrap (90kr) with baked sweet potato, feta cheese, eggplant and garlic cream and an eggplant stir (45kr). On the side a mango sauce and spicy herb oil, so good!

In short, it tastes as good as it looks. The highlights were clearly the fluffy, buttery halloumin and falafel with the garlic sauce that together created a nutty and fresh flavor combination. Eggplant mess, a little bland unfortunately but after seasoning it with salt and pepper it didn't get so bad. However, the taste was distorted when you ate it together with the bread that was a little tasteless. It would have taken more "grilled flavor" and saltiness to be compensated. If the bread had had a higher temperature and the stirs liiiite more flavor, it would have been a hit.

The portitions are LARGE and I was stuffed with the food on my plate and as far as I could see, the other dishes that were sent out into the room were equally hearty. Sick good and since I live close I have a feeling that this will be one of my new take-away hooks. Want to try more, the sweet potatoes looked magical and shawarma also smelled. Wonderful and affordable!

Tried their Shawarma (kebab) today and wow was fresh so. Unfortunately, he cooled off a little bit when I was supposed to transport myself 20 minutes. The flavors would probably have been more clean and clear if they were a little warmer which of course was a bit of a shame, and now I think about the kebab. The paprika mess that was new to me was also canooongod, could easily have bought with me a jar of home (maybe something to think about Babel?)

Rätt så nyöppnade Babels bazaar i Hornstull levererar väldigt god Meze, shawarma och falafel. Var här en lunch (smällfullt)! Men personalen var gullig och snabb att lösa platser. Kommer lätt tillbaka hit för take away. Min favorit var mixtallriken på bild med falafel, halloumi, röror med mera..
