Asian Post Office is a restaurant and bar on Regeringsgatan 66, City/Norrmalm in Stockholm.

Another new Asian Fusion place, which I love. Most of the other Asian fusion sites (Farang, Miss Voon, Kasai, Shibumi, etc.) are quite dark, stylish, noisy and trendy. APO is quite neat, not very dark (not so strong lighting, but bright décor, as well as a lot of windows), quite trendy, not so noisy, but then they have also tried to bring in a little more cozy feeling, I think. I liked it, but I think I like the environment of the others even better. There's a little more going on. But I think some people will prefer this environment over the others, it probably depends on how you are as a person and what you like.
I liked the menu very much. About 20 small and medium dishes, and almost everything sounded awesome. Just right innovative, without becoming pretentious or difficult. The waitress recommended splitting 5-7 dishes into two people. We took seven and it was just right. What was really nice was that when the bill came in, it turned out that she had split three of the dishes in two, so that there would be just enough food for us. Nothing that we even noticed when we ate (that it would "only" be half the dish), but that made the bill about 200 KR lower. 👏🏻
The waitress was otherwise fantastic. So did the other two who came out and presented two of the servings. Best service I've had in a while. The only small minus was a little too long waiting on 2-3 occasions.
The first servings were chicken balos, fried oysters with browned soybearnaise (😱) and "popcorn shrimps". Deep-fried oysters were brutal! Innovative and sickly good. The chicken baos is cruelly good, but hard to fail with and might have been another little bit better if you're going to be a perfectionist. The popcorn prawns were good, but it got a little too much after a while when the dish was quite large. Now I like deep-fried, but know that many people may think that "it just tastes fried"; I don't think you should take this right.
The second serving was "APO's sashimi on today's fish with green mango and rose pepper yuzu" and raw tuna with noodles in mushroom broth. I'm afraid both of them were disappointing. The tuna was too boring, no exciting flavors, and I didn't like that the noodles and broth were almost fridge-cold. Sashimin was far too small, and also far too tart.
The third serving was deep-fried duck nut, duck liver and a tart tamarind chutney and seared (very fine) back steak, black garlic truffle créme, lemon yari and nashipäron. That's good, although I might have hoped for even better.
In summary, environment 4-, food 3+ and service 5. As a whole, it will be just enough for a four, but next time I hope that the food has risen another little bit, especially the lowest level.
Edit May 2021: Have been here two more times now and one time it was fantastic good, almost full pot food wise. Went here shortly thereafter again and ate much the same thing and then it was very good again, but maybe not full pot. Feels like a solid 4.

This year I celebrated my birthday at APO - it turned out to be a great idea. Here you go for good food, the city's most photographed green drink, party vibes and nice staff. Me and my gang were so greedy when we saw the menu that we chose liiite for many dishes, but it was nothing we suffered from and we had to blame ourselves when we chose not to listen to the waiter's attempts to calm us down with a slightly smaller order. That said - we did NOT suffer. Except a little in the palt coma after. Oh well. Fresh combinations are mixed with safe faithful servants (hey popcorn shrimp, I'm looking at you). We sat on their terrace which was very neat - warning, however, that the booths are in the tightest position.
I'll be back.

When it comes to drinks, they're magically good at the Asian Post Office. We chose to have the drink Thai Basil so was so crazy good😍. Oh now they have also got a nice terrace, which is never wrong 😊
Great place for an AW! Good and exciting drinks, with a modern and pleasant environment. The service is nice. The food is really delicious, exciting flavors where popcorn shrimpsen is a must if you have the way past. Super place for a spontaneous dinner at the bar.
Agree with all the other reviews that here you get a lovely experience and are always surprised how big it is. Eaten here a few times and lunch is nicely level. Dinner can get a little noisy, but it's just fun in my opinion. I like the bar table where you can see into the kitchen and have rounded corners! The food is consistently very good but the dish with rice cakes was barely edible. When you cooked a lot of rice cakes at home and then tried here, it was a shock. Both that the dish was cold and then sichuan is a rather peculiar spice in some contexts, can get very sour and unpleasant. Other dishes that stood out were the noodles with lobster appetizer with bao and tofu was awesome. They solved veggie varieties very flexibly. Stable place that always maintains high lowest level in my opinion!

I have been here on 3 different occasions. First time I was here on the Aw, ordered a drink if I got recommended with Thai basil and kokogrädde that was how good any time! The second time I ate dinner with my boyfriend, we shared on a number of dishes. Some were better than others. My favorites were oysters with browned sojabea (magical) and popcornshrimps that were really good, however very masty! The food gets a 3a in total when the competition for Asian fusion is very high in STHLM and it is my favorite kitchen so I have quite high demands. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The third time I was there I ate lunch with a few colleagues. I ate a bunch of curry with chicken that was very good. Many good dishes on the lunch menu. There are today's right, weekly dishes which are three different options and late classics that are always there. Will definitely come back for lunch.
Three different and very nice visits.

Then you have finally visited the well-talked about restaurant and kept up with the measure made it! The first thing I want to mention is the service, it was really one of the best I've ever experienced. The waitress was all night, happy, smiling, laughing, being helpful and nothing was a problem. There were quite a few of us so shared a lot of dishes. Everything tasted super good!! But at the same time... yes, modern and popular Asian cuisine is getting used to the flavors, but even so it was good! Unfortunately do not remember all the dishes with accessories exactly as we ate when we took 8 different but were satisfied with most things except the tuna. It was terrible, actually. Tasted weird, what icy (not just cold) and no, none of us were actually 7 people who liked it. But crispy pork and deep Fried dumpings were amazing! We also took maaaaasssor of shrimp popcorn as everyone took them to the skies... and unfortunately I don't understand. Or they were super good, worth taking if you come here, but after everything I've heard, I expected more from them. For this, there was a lot of good bubbly that the waitress helped us choose, and also white wine that suited the food well.
This place is big. Has a large restaurant part and also a large bar part. We ate quite late and the music is very loud, which was good for a late dinner. However, the people around who were trying to have a romantic evening... Well, it's not the right place. Most people were happy! After the food, some hot shot was taken that was good and served in super nice glass! And of course I had to test the drink they compete with in ..... It was great!! I don't remember the name of it, because I was just what the waitress about the " drink they compete with ". With a taste of coconut and .... leaves it absolutely lived up and was super good. Worth trying!
All in all, really nice place and restaurant that has everything, good food, good drinks, great service and nice atmosphere. You can't expect more than that.

Good! I think that sums up my feeling after I walked away from the APO on a Monday night. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The menu was exciting (but not _ too exciting – as I think Farang's menu is) and the food delivered. The atmosphere was pretty lukewarm but yes I didn't expect more when I got there a Monday 21.30. A parenthesis is that their interior decorator seems to be hooked on ribbed wood (which I also am) because there are not many surfaces that are not decorated with these details.

Very difficult to choose from 3 or 4a. I read the previous reviews both before and during the visit to get inspiration what I would order, do as Malin says, take a Thai basil with kokogrädde 🙌 the room is superfine, it is Scandinavian, cozy, fresh and right open. We sat at their, would say community table which is built like a bar. I was a bit untagged on it only when we were three people with a lot to talk about, but we got to sit at one of the rounded corners and I was not affected at all by the other guests, rather positive, there was much to tip on because it is open kitchen. Next time I would like to sit in one of the couches that looked completely magical.
The drinks were like I said amazing, we tested a lot and the dinnerware could really tell you a lot about the drinks and give recommendations.
The food then, yes it was unfortunately not "fall of the chair good". Absolutely good, yes you should definitely go here and I will come back. But it was not wow. Well, the oysters! They were really WOW!! We were 3 people who took 6 dishes but felt we absolutely needed 2 more. There was great variation on how satiating the different rights were, so think so you don't just take the "lighter" rights. BAO chicken was actually really tasty and saturated!
The service was top, top, top!
A visit to so maybe it will be a 4a and the bar will definitely go to many times.
