Mahmut Sucakci, who also runs Lily's Burger with actor Joel Kinnaman, thinks döner is the most delicious thing you can eat, after hamburgers. So he's dedicated an entire restaurant to the Turkish kebab.
This ambitious fastfood restaurant on Hornsbergs strand in Kungsholmen serves traditional döner under the epithet "fine fast food" - a combination of fine dining and fast food. Ingredients take centre stage at Çok. Döners are made in the classic way, with veal and lamb meat, and served with bread and vegetables. You can also choose from other dishes including Turkish pizza or homemade baklava and order microbrewed beer and other drinks to go with your food.
The colourful premises are decorated with mismatched vintage chairs, tables made from driftwood and other personal details with a continental feel. The walls are covered in graffiti art. You pick up your hot dishes and accompaniments from the counter, or ”Çokomaten", when they're ready. During the summer months you can take a seat outdoors just a few steps from the waterfront and eat your döner in the sun. You can also order takeaway.
