I really love living in odd places or unusual buildings - that means it doesn't have to mean a total lack of amenities. This Pilot Tower has a long history behind it and is now redesigned. Half of small apartments for accommodation - if I understand correctly - and half hotel rooms for guests visiting the island. At the top there is a conference room with a 360 degree view that you can also book for dinner. Then the food is delivered from the hotel's restaurant, which is located a few minutes away.
We lived at the top, (elevator available!) think it was on the seventh floor, and of course the view was magical. There are 2 small rooms on each floor and they share a bathroom right outside your own door. Although it is not the best I know, it went very well. It was fresh, clean and we barely saw the smoke of the neighbors on the same floor. The décor of the room was simple but fresh. A mirror, stool, hooks and 2 single beds with lamps. The negative was that there was only ONE pillow. WHO in the world sleeps with just one pillow? Madmen, I would argue! They could well afford to throw 2 more pillows into each room for extra convenience.
Breakfast is included and taken at the restaurant - a walk of a minute. Here you can also have dinner and lunch if you want. It was simple but perfectly okay.
