Sweden's National Day is celebrated on June 6th each year, with food, music and entertainment. There are several spots in and around Stockholm where you can join in the patriotic party, including parties in the park, musical performances by major artists and traditional dancing and flag-waving at Skansen. At Skansen, Sweden's National Day is celebrated from morning until evening with various activities for young and old. There will be fun kids' activities in the park, a concert in Seglora church, tasting of Sweden's various regional dishes, folk dance demonstrations and much more. The evening ends with the traditional National Day celebrations on the Solliden stage, which is broadcast on SVT Play at 8pm and is attended by the royal family.

Hågelbyparken in Tumba will be celebrating with family-friendly fun and activities. There will be entertainment on the stage and Botkyrka municipality will be welcoming new Swedish citizens. Have something to eat and drink while you're there at Café Anna Giertz, say hello to the animals in the petting zoo, get your face painting, take a ride on the train and much more.

Stora Blecktornsparken
At Södermalm's Stora Blecktornsparken they'll be celebrating with pony rides, a bouncy castle, Aya Baya band, candy floss and popcorn. There will also be coffee and cakes for sale, a painting wall, lottery, treasure hunt and sheep show. Fun for all the family!

If you want to celebrate Sweden's National Day with live music in club surroundings, Trädgården is a safe bet. The Södermalm club opens the pre-party before Rosendal Garden Party week with a concert by celebrated American singer and violinist Sudan Archives. Along with her live band she mixes influences from Sudanese violin virtuosos with R&B and West African rhythms.
