Finding somewhere to eat good grilled food in Stockholm is no problem - the city is full of smoking hot restaurants serving everything from hearty steaks to grilled fish, grilled vegetables and other top notch ingredients. Whether you prefer charcoal grilled, BBQ, Japanese grill techniques, stylish fine dining restaurants or popular fast food joints, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. Global grilled dishes
One of the city's best-known - and fun - grill restaurants, Grill has different sections where you can eat grilled dishes from all over the world. They grill everything from meat and fish to vegetables and fruit using different techniques, and on Sundays they serve an entire grill buffet. Rooms are themed, so you can take a trip on the Orient Express, dine in a hunting lodge or take a seat in 19th century France.
Drottninggatan 89, City/Vasastan
Forget big, meaty steaks - at Stim in Östermalm it's all about fish and seafood. They cook everything on their charcoal grill and vegetables are also given plenty of time and attention. The owners, who used to work at Ulla Winbladh, run this modern fish restaurant in the former premises of the classic Stockholm café, Oscars, and they've retained many of the original features.

In the harbour
Take a walk down to Pampas marina and eat grilled food on the jetty. K4 is open all year round and serves lunch, brunch and, in the summer months, dinner with views over the harbour. A modern neighbourhood restaurant with plenty of grilled and smoked dishes on the menu - there's something for suit all tastes here.
Meat restaurant and grill bistro
This ambitious grill bistro near Stureplan serves fine cuts of meat in season, as well as poultry, fish and vegetables. Food is grilled in a Mibrasa closed barbeque grill and served with various accompaniments and sauces. Large and small groups alike can meet here and eat in modern surroundings with an American/ industrial feel.

Razor sharp steakhouse
One of the city's best steakhouses serves excellent grilled dishes in stylish, New York-style surroundings, just a stone's throw from Stureplan. Whether you're craving grilled fish, lobster or a hearty steak, you'll find it here. Don't miss the cocktails mixed by Vassa Eggen's highly skilled bartenders.

Grilled from Greece
Grekiska Grill & Bar, which has various branches around Stockholm and beyond, transports your tastebuds to the Mediterranean. Fill your table with both souvlaki (grilled meat on skewers) and other dishes from the Greek islands. They serve Greek grilled dishes for meat eaters, pescetarians and vegetarians alike.
Amida Kolgrill on Folkungagatan is many Stockholmers' favourite grill restaurant. They're famous for their charcoal-grilled döner, wraps, köfte, mixed grill and vegetarian dishes. Hungry Södermalm residents flock here to satisfy their cravings for a kebab plate or roll when they need one most.

With three grills, a rotisserie and Sweden's first tempura bar, Miss Voon's sister restaurant is a hot tip for grill fanatics. The menu includes "Asian grill" dishes, both meat, fish and seafood, and the bar mixes matching cocktails with Asian flavours.

Japanese grill bar
This Japanese grill bar on Rörstrandsgatan works with the robatayaki grill technique, where food is grilled on skewers over charcoal embers. Just take a seat and share a selection of small dishes around the table - the menu includes everything from short ribs to tuna tataki and grilled tofu.

Weekend brunch outing
Steninge Bruk is housed in a beautiful old converted stone barn half an hour outside the city, and it boasts one of Sweden's largest indoor grills. Their brunch buffet, with food served straight from the grill, makes a lovely weekend outing and you can combine your meal with a walk in the picturesque castle surroundings.
BBQ "Korean style"
With some 400 covers, Pong Lindhagen is one of the city's largest restaurants and you can grill your own food here at modern BBQ tables, Korean-style. You buy a basic package of rice, kimchi and sauces and then choose from various ingredients including salmon, vegetables and meat.

If you're in the mood for proper Persian food, Tehran Grill is the place to go. You'll find a range of grilled skewers on the menu, and the authentic atmosphere and decor are also a big part of the experience. Both of their branches, one in Södermalm and one in Vasastan, suit everyone from romantic dinners à deux to large meals with family or friends.
