A French boudoir

Gildas on Nytorget is a popular Södermalm institution with plenty of regulars. People pop in throughout the day for breakfast, lunch and dinner, or just for a coffee and snack. The interiors are warm and delightfully kitsch, with French/Moroccan influences.

You'll find this café and konditori right next to Vasaparken in Vasastan. Famous for their semlor Lenten buns and good coffee, it's been a popular spot since the Thirties. While the menu has been updated since then with hot dishes, sandwiches, salads and a licence to serve wine and beer, the traditional konditori atmosphere remains.

Café Albert

Since 1910

Café Fix, which opened in 1910, is one of Stockholm's oldest cafés. In 2019 the café underwent a complete renovation, although many of the original details were retained. They serve hearty main courses, soups and salads and cakes and pastries all day.
