Cosy restaurants in other part of town:
Mountain charm from Norrland
If you're pining for the mountains, Knut is the place to go. This Norrlandic restaurant on Upplandsgatan is furnished with mismatched chairs, rustic wooden tables, rag rugs and antlers and serves Suovas (smoked reindeer meat) and other flavours from the beautiful wide open spaces of northern Sweden.
Upplandsgatan 17, Norrmalm/City/Vasastan
Spanish influences meet Swedish ingredients at this popular bar and restaurant on Odengatan. Thirsty post-work drinkers and hungry dinner guests alike come to hang out in relaxed surroundings. Take a pew in the modern but welcoming environment and feel at home.
Odengatan 36, Vasastan
This acclaimed little neighbourhood restaurant combines skilled gastronomy with a welcoming, intimate atmosphere. The two experienced and passionate chefs - Jim Hammargren and Jacob Nermark Hjelm - also run Jim & Jacobs bakficka (little sister restaurant) in a cellar a few steps away from the main restaurant. The eclectic small dishes are perfect for sharing and the blackboard menu changes daily.
Ilse has consciously shunned all trends and passing fads and established itself instead as a modern classic, with black bentwood chairs and white tablecloths. Eat in the little dining room with its open kitchen upstairs or take a pew at the circular bar by the entrance.
Kungstensgatan 9, Östermalm/Vasastan
Do you have a soft spot for authentic Italian cuisine? This Italian restaurant on Tulegatan has all the elements you need for a really special evening with your family, friends or a date - a passion for food and a warm, intimate atmosphere.

Sweden meets France
Riding on the success of their Visby and Åre branches, Crêperie & Logi opened up in Stockholm, in Vasastan. This snug restaurant is tucked away on a backstreet close to Odenplan and, naturally, they serve the French buckwheat galettes and crêpes they're famous for here. Order a glass of cider and breathe in the atmosphere.

Cosy yet contemporary
Las Brasas is inspired by the cuisine and culture of South America and Spain. The emphasis is on grilled dishes and tapas served among green tiled walls and contemporary yet cosy decor. Ideal for a relaxed, sociable dinner.
Roslagsgatan 6, Vasastan
These two Italian sister restaurants are real Vasastan institutions and they each have their own focus: fish and meat, respectively. A familiar neighbourhood restaurant feel pervades, with white lace curtains at Den gamle och havet and rustic brick walls at Döden i grytan.
Authentic Persian food is not the only draw at Tehran Grill. The atmospheric setting is also an important part of the experience - diners eat among candelight and romantic interiors.
Rörstrandsgatan 15, Vasastan
Delphine & Edouard is run by a French couple passionate about food, wine and design. Since opening in 2017 they've quickly gained a reputation for their charming Parisian style - perfect for anyone who fancies a few small dishes, French cheeses, charcuterie or just a glass of (French) wine.

Bazaar in Birkastan
Forget stark and sterile interiors - this award-winning restaurant is decorated like an exotic Indian bazaar. Shanti Touch of Bengal was the first restaurant in Stockholm to focus on Bengali homecooking, and you're guaranteed an atmospheric experience.
