Slipen

Hearty bistro on the waterfront

Restaurang Slipen is an ambitious mid-range restaurant, housed in the premises that were formerly home to Michelin-starred restaurant, Oaxen. The complex is right on the waterfront and has extremely high ceilings, with floor to ceiling windows. Wooden rowing boats and other marine details hang from the ceiling, and the rest of the interiors ooze rural archipelago style. Slipen serves lots of Swedish flavours, with a menu that changes with the seasons and offers something to suit most tastes.

Ulla Winbladh

19th century tradition

This classic inn is one of Djurgården's true gems, a place to enjoy top notch food in beautiful, relaxed surroundings. The menu reflects Sweden's culinary history, with classic seasonal homecooking dishes. The villa houses several different eating and drinking areas, from the light, airy dining room to the dimly-lit bar. In the summer months you can eat al fresco on the leafy outdoor terrace.

Villa Godthem

A true classic

19th century Villa Godthem was reopened in 2011 by the Swedish king and queen after an extensive renovation. Thanks to the restoration, the restaurant now boasts a dining room, café and a classic archipelago-style veranda. Swedish gastronomy, prepared with a modern twist, is the name of the game and the menu includes everything from their signature plank steak to dishes such as pickled herring and kroppkakor - potato dumplings filled with smoked, cured pork belly.

Rosendals Wärdshus

Plenty of options

This historic inn arranges weddings, parties, conferences, wine tastings, business events and other events all year round. Depending on the season, you can enjoy lunch, dinner, a barbeque buffet, afternoon tea, crayfish party or classic julbord Christmas smörgåsbord here in delightful leafy surroundings.
