Östermalm isn't exactly one of Stockholm's cheapest neighbourhoods, but you can still find plenty of restaurants where you can treat yourself to a meal out that won't break the bank. Unpretentious little sister restaurant
This popular little sister restaurant to fine dining restaurant Gastrologik is much more accessible than its exclusive sibling. Their aim is to provide the same quality at more wallet-friendly prices, and they always keep some spots reserved for drop-ins. The menu consists of medium-sized dishes made from top-notch ingredients.

In the grounds of the Army Museum, you'll find this oasis in beautifully re-designed premises. This lively sister restaurant to nearby Nybrogatan 38 takes its influences from the backstreets of Madrid and serves distinctly southern European flavours. Order a selection of dishes such as paella, tapas, charcuterie, cheeses and other Spanish favourites to share, all at decent prices.

One of the area's, and quite possibly Stockholm's, most popular restaurants can be found at the address with the same name as the restaurant. Nybrogatan 38's great atmosphere and well-priced Mediterranean-inspired dishes draw in the crowds. This family-owned neighbourhood Italian has a well-established reputation for great pizzas. The restaurant is also popular for its intimate atmosphere and distinctive movie-themed decor that includes cinema chairs and film posters. Perfect for a relaxed, unpretentious dinner.

This popular French-inspired brasserie is part of Elverket, the Royal Dramatic Theatre's annex on Linnégatan.
