Caffè Ugo is a relaxed little relaxed espresso bar in authentic Italian style, renowned for their excellent espresso. Unlike any other café in Sweden they import their coffee direct from San Remo in Italy, from the Elena coffee roastery where they roast their coffee beans in wood-fired ovens to produce a smooth, rounded aroma. Guests also come for the peaceful, friendly atmosphere.
Caffè Ugo in Kungsholmen are known for their top quality coffee drinks. The menu is straight from an Italian espresso bar with various Italian salads, sandwiches and sweet things. Have a sandwich with a choice of fillings to go with your morning cappuccino, or go for the Italian equivalent of a croissant: a cornetto filled with, for example, gruyère and prosciutto.
Customers return time after time, drawn back by the great coffee and atmosphere. Seating-wise, there's a lounge area and a more lively bar section to choose from, depending on whether you're grabbing a quick coffee on the hoof or have time to stop and stay for a while. The decor is modern and pared-back and the café is equipped with air conditioning, which is quite a rarity in Stockholm and highly appreciated on steamy summer days.
In the run up to Christmas, the coffee bar is filled with every imaginable festive Italian favourites, such as panettone, torrone and chocolate pralines.
