Halloween at Gröna Lund 2019

Halloween is becoming a bigger deal in Sweden each year and in Stockholm, Gröna Lund amusement park is leading the way in spooky celebrations for the third year running. Over an inauspicious thirteen days, visitors can visit the park's all-new haunted house and new themed areas.

This year, all tickets sold will be for a specific date and a maximum of 12 500 visitors will be admitted per day. The park's 'Lilla Området' (small area) will be filled with pumpkins, friendly witches, scarecrows and children's shows for younger visitors. The rest of the park will have a distinctly darker edge, with ghoulish themed areas, haunted houses and horrifying creatures wandering around.

Here are the park's themed areas for Halloween 2019:
Candyland - an enchanted candyland in the Lilla Området.
Spanish Steps - will mark the border between slightly spooky and properly scary areas.
New theme area - in front of the Main Stage, enter the brand new haunted house Sekten, 'The Sect', if you dare.
Autumn market - the Lilla Området will include a cute autumn market.
Día de Muertos - the Fiesta restaurant will be inspired by the Mexican holiday "Day of the Dead" with colourful decorations and skulls.
Zombie Street - on the street outside the Jetline rollercoaster a zombie apocalypse is drawing near.

The amusement's other attractions will also be open, weather permitting. Gröna Lund's Green Card is not valid over Halloween.
