Game meat is Pivo's passion. Gothenburg's only restaurant specialising in game, you'll find Pivo in a leafy park setting behind Götaplatsen. The kitchen works with game and fish from Sweden's forests, lakes and seas, often served with other wild delicacies from the forest such as berries and mushrooms.
The menu includes perfectly cooked game dishes, such as butter-fried venison fillet, roasted pheasant breast and wild boar steak, as well as fish and seafood such as char, crayfish and catfish. The season and what ingredients nature and local producers have to offer each day decides the menu. Game meat isn't just delicious, it's also the most climate-friendly kind of meat you can eat and Pivo has a sustainable philosophy that pervades everything they do.
During the summer months, drinking and dining at Pivo is largely al fresco. Guests hang out at the outdoor bar and play a game or two of boules - all proceeds from the game go to charity.
