They'll be serving a 3-course new year's eve menu from 4pm and a 5 course dinner later on. Familjen is also well known for their excellent, innovative cocktails - perfect for toasting in the new year with.

New year at the post office

Celebrate the new year at the Clarion Hotel Post with a 5-course dinner and wine package at Norda, overnight accommodation and champagne at VRÅ, which will be serving a 6-course meal. Wake up fully refreshed the next morning and enjoy a fantastic breakfast before checkout.

You can count on one of the city's most spectacular views from the Hotel Riverton's stylish restaurant View and its adjoining skybar. Treat a loved one to an overnight stay at the hotel and kick off the new year in style. The evening starts with a welcome drink, before moving on to a four-course new year dinner with a selected wine package and a glass of champagne at midnight. Wake up the next morning ready to start the new year with a wonderful breakfast.

All day long

Celebrate the new year in style all day long with a five-course menu at Ma Cuisine. They open at midday and carry on until 10pm. The menu includes dishes such as dry-aged beef, duck breast and halibut, along with snacks, dessert and coffee.

Choose between two new year's eve menus

Celebrate the new year at Brasserie Lavette on Södra Vägen with a five course new year's eve dinner - either with seafood and meat, or completely vegetarian. The carnivorous menu includes steak tartare, creamy seafood soup and butter-fried turbot while the vegetarian one includes steamed buns, grilled broccoli and tarragon Brussels sprouts - all served with delicious accompaniments.

Elegant new year with a view

The 23rd floor of Heaven 23 is almost a high up as you can get in Gothenburg. Enjoy a 3-course new year's eve lunch or a 4-course new year's eve dinner with a backdrop of magnificent views over the city. Or simply drop in to the bar area for a drink and something from a smaller à la carte menu. A DJ will be spinning tunes day and night so get your glad rags on and round off 2020 in style.

Hotel and spa experience

Arken's NYE package is a very popular. It includes overnight accommodation in a double room, welcome chocolates and a gift in the room, access to the spa and the loan of a bathrobe and slippers, afternoon tea, cocktail, 4-course dinner, entertainment and breakfast buffet. Due to the current restrictions, champagne will be served to your table just before 10pm.

Sparkling new year's eve menu and takeaway

This year Rustik Bistro will be serving a six course tasting menu to celebrate the end of 2020. The evening begins with canapes and continues with lobster salad, bleak roe, beef fillet, cheese and a milk chocolate dessert - everything you need for a luxurious new year's eve dinner. If you'd rather eat well at home you can order their new year's eve meal kit, which includes three courses to cook yourself. The kit should be pre-ordered by December 28th and picked up on new year's eve.

New year at newly-opened spot

Newly-opened Boqueria has gone all-in with their NYE menu and you can come here to celebrate all day long. From 11.30am to 4pm they'll be serving a NYE brunch extravaganza for anyone who wants to celebrate earlier on and in the evening they'll be laying out a luxurious five-course dinner. The NYE menu comes in meat or vegetarian variations.

Pan-Asian sharing menu

Celebrate the new year with an 8-course menu at Toso, with a pairing wine package if you fancy. The dishes are brought to the table as soon as they're ready and everyone around the table gets to experience the restaurant's very best dishes. Fabulous cocktails and the restaurant's unique decor make for a glam nightclub feel.
